I took this picture off of my friend’s facebook.
This is a picture of a lady that works at the 24-hour Burger King on campus and she’s probably the sweetest lady ever. Every day I’ve been there she never seems to be in a bad mood, which makes me simultaneously admire and feel guilty that someone her age is still working. I’m in college, I’m young, I complain and I get in bad moods, and here is this elderly lady, working a minimum wage job, who is happy and content with life. I’m envious. She’s found her place, whether or not it was her most desired destination, and she’s happy. She’s comfortable with herself. Here I am, upset about my vague future and impending finals, complaining about things that don’t go my way.
She definitely deserved those flowers she received from random UCSD students that day & yet she still deserves so much more for her pleasant disposition. The funny thing is, she seems to be perfectly content where she’s at; not wanting any more than what she has. That’s beautiful.
I hope I can find that some day.
This is beautiful.
